RESOLUTION NO. 54
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
ENTERED BETWEEN THE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. AND
UNITED NATIONS FUND FOR FAMILY PLANNING ACTIVITY (UNFPA)
FOR THE ADOPTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE UNFPA 6TH COUNTRY PROGRAMME

WHEREAS, the Letter of Understanding between the City of Olongapo and UNFPA signed on April 14, 2005 states all the agreed responsibilities of the parties concerned for the implementation of their Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP);

WHEREAS, in the interest of public service, the Letter of Understanding needs to be formally ratified to complete the legal requirements in its implementation;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Angelina B. Andrada with the unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to ratify, as it hereby ratifies The Letter Of Understanding Entered Between The City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. And United Nations Fund For Family Planning Activity (UNFPA) For The Adoption And Implementation Of The UNFPA 6th Country Programme.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Letter of Understanding shall be made an integral part of this resolution.
