RESOLUTION NO. 06
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MS. LILIA U. IBASCO FOR HER INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION


WHEREAS, Ms. Lilia Ubungen Ibasco, Master Teacher II and Principal of Boton Elementary School is due for retirement after spending 30 remarkable years in the field of education;

WHEREAS, the City recognizes her all-around professional excellence in teaching and her leadership in spearheading programs and projects, which were instrumental in the improvement of the quality of learning at the Boton Elementary School;

WHEREAS, through her very satisfactory instructional competence, dedicated services and hardwork, Ms. Ibasco had exceeded the school’s goals in various subjects of learning. For these achievements, she had garnered numerous awards of excellence;

WHEREAS, the investigatory project “cooking oil can oven / toaster and broiler” adjudged as first place in the Division Search for the Ten Outstanding Young Scientists (TOYS) in 1993, the Mathematics project which won first place in the Department of Education, Culture and Sports - Department of Science and Technology (DECS-DST) in the Summer Institute in 1994, and the various certificate of merit as demonstration teacher serve as her legacy as one of the best educators in the City;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo is proud and honored to have achievers like her in the department’s helm and wishes that her retirement will usher her to the next level of success in other fields of endeavor;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby commends Ms. Lilia U. Ibasco for her invaluable contributions in the field of education.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished Ms. Lilia U. Ibasco for her information and record.
