(Series of 2004)

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEPEST APPRECIATION TO MS. KYOKO KATAOKA FOR THE SERVICE SHE EXTENDED AS A VOLUNTEER TEACHER IN THE CAREGIVER PROJECT BETWEEN THE CITY OF OLONGAPO AND THE CLUB TOURISM INTERNATIONAL, INC.


WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo through then Mayor Kate H. Gordon and Club Tourism International, Inc. represented by Chairman Hideo Takashi entered into a Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of the “Caregiver’s Project”;

WHEREAS, the objective of the “Caregiver’s Project” is to teach the Japanese language and Japanese culture to caregiver students of Gordon College, to improve their communication and understanding with the Japanese elders, who will be retiring in the Philippines, all in preparation for the caregivers market to Japan;

WHEREAS, Sensei KYOKO KATAOKA is one of the Japanese volunteers who assisted in teaching the Japanese language and culture to our caregiver students for a period of 3 months from June 5 to September 5, 2004;

WHEREAS, the City Government and the people of Olongapo acknowledge her contributions and service to the said undertaking;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to express, as it hereby expresses deepest appreciation to Sensei Kyoko Kataoka for the service she extended as a volunteer-teacher in the caregiver project between the City of Olongapo and Club Tourism International, Inc.

Let copy of this resolution be furnished to Club Tourism International, Inc.
