RESOLUTION NO. 29
(Series of 2004)

A RESOLUTION OF POSTHUMOUS APPRECIATION ON THE DISTINGUISHED CONTRIBUTIONS OF MRS. LUCITA RODRIGUEZ-TURALBA IN THE CITY

WHEREAS, Mrs. Lucita Rodriguez-Turalba, one of the multi-awarded day care workers of the City and of the Region, passed away last August 7, 2004 at the age of 62;

WHEREAS, a native of Infanta, Pangasinan, Mrs. Turalba, together with her family, chose to be an Olongapeno by heart, having invested her premier years and primal efforts in providing foundational education to pre-schoolers in the City;

WHEREAS, her resourcefulness, creativity and exceptional grace made her a consistent winner in various competitions sponsored by the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the recipient of Loyalty Award for her long years of impeccable service;

WHEREAS, without a haze of tiredness, she made the classroom alive and more conducive to learning;

WHEREAS, her pupils, as well as their parents and fellow day care workers will forever store happy thoughts and memories of her love and concern with thanksgiving for the value of uprightness and integrity she had exemplified;

WHEREAS, Mommy Lucy, as she is fondly called by her siblings, friends, day care workers and staff, is indeed the woman who lived to fill the moral vacuum of the society. She was an excellent mother, faithful wife, a trustworthy confidante and a reliable counselor. The positive values she carried on through life will serve as a lasting legacy worthy of emulation;

WHEREAS, her presence will truly be missed by the entire CSWDO, which served as her second family;

WHEREAS, the City joins their family in appreciating the life that she lived well and prays that they graciously move on in this moment of loss;

NOW THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to appreciate, as it hereby appreciates the distinguished contributions of Mrs. Lucita Rodriguez-Turalba in the City.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the bereaved family of Mrs. Lucita Rodriguez-Turalba.
