RESOLUTION NO. 42
(Series of 2004)

A RESOLUTION ENJOINING ALL SECTORS IN OLONGAPO CITY TO SUPPORT THE CHILDREN’S MONTH THIS OCTOBER 2004
AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER


WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 267 declares the month of October of every year as National Children’s Month in recognition to the significant role every children born within the Filipino family and within the Philippine society, as the country’s most valuable asset;

WHEREAS, Olongapo City, as the Most Child Friendly City in the country stands actively at the forefront of this celebration in conducting child-related activities as well as the promotion of their rights under this year’s theme “Bright Child, Resulta ng Mapagkalingang Pamilya;”

WHEREAS, the success of the said event entails the dynamic participation and support of all sectors of society as the City endeavors to sustain all programs towards child development and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enjoin, as it hereby enjoins all sectors in Olongapo City to support the Children’s Month this October 2004 and every year thereafter.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the different departments of the City Government and likewise be posted on three conspicuous places at the City Hall.
