WHEREAS, the City Health Department Laboratory, a revenue generating section, renders a vital service not only to the City Government but also to the citizens of Olongapo as it offers basic affordable medical laboratory examinations to the public;

WHEREAS, it is imperative to have the position of a Medical Laboratory Technician to run and operate the said area;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Angelina B. Andrada, co-sponsored by Councilor Gina G. Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

ORDINANCE NO. 39
(Series of 2004)

AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POSITIONS OF TWO (2) MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST I, ITEM NOS. 69 & 73 AND CREATING TWO (2) POSITIONS OF MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN III IN THE CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. Two positions of Medical Technologist I, Item Nos. 69 & 73 are hereby abolished and two(2) plantilla positions of Medical Laboratory Technician III are hereby created to meet the staffing needs of the City Health Department.
