A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MR. NICO RIEGO DE DIOS FOR BEING THE 1ST RUNNER-UP IN THE JUST CONCLUDED ASIAN JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL TENNIS FEDERATION (ITF) TOURNAMENT
HELD LAST SEPTEMBER 27 – OCTOBER 2, 2004
AT THE RIZAL RACQUET CLUB, PASIG CITY


WHEREAS, homegrown tennis topseed Nico Riego De Dios bagged the 1st Runner-Up in the recently concluded Asian Junior International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tournament held last September 27 to October 2, 2004 at the Rizal Racquet Club, Pasig City;

WHEREAS, with a sheer focus on sturdy sportsmanship values, Nico Riego de Dios downed his rival from the country and the two Asian hopefuls from Hong Kong and Taipei to garner the top of the semi-final showdown;

WHEREAS, the City is proud to have another unranked local to conquer the international tennis frontiers through his imbibed duty, dignity and determination;

WHEREAS, the youth that he is that carved his winnings will serve as an inspiration to the young populace of the City to involve themselves in worthwhile endeavors such as sports;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina G. Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sagguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby commends Mr. Nico Riego De Dios for being the 1st Runner-Up in the just concluded Asian Junior International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tournament held last September 27 – October 2, 2004 at the Rizal Racquet Club, Pasig City.
