In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Teodoro D. del Rosario, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 25
(Series of 2004)

AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPECIAL FRANCHISE FOR THE
OPERATION OF TRICYCLES UNDER ZONE III TO OPERATE ONLY WITHIN GORDON HEIGHTS, OLONGAPO CITY


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance of No. 13, Series of 1998 is amended by authorizing additional thirty (30) units in Gordon Heights.

SECTION 2. TERMINALS

a. Lower Federico St.
b. Upper Federico St.
c. Keith St.
d. Jupiter St.
e. Palosanto St.

SECTION 3. ROUTE OF OPERATION

a. To transport passengers from terminal point (Lower & Upper Federico St.) going to Block 27 and from Block. 27 they are only allowed to pick up passengers starting at Block. 11 up to Dalluay Funeral Service.

b. Palosanto St. will serve as terminal only if there’s an activity in Gordon Heights II Elem. School.

SECTION 4. This shall be considered an umbrella association of ZONE III

SECTION 5. NO OVERLOADING. Every unit is allowed up to three (3) passengers only if children.

SECTION 6. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entered into by and between the Olongapo City Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations Zone III (OCTODA Z-3) represented by its President Mr. Mario C. Parungao and the Gordon Heights Tricycle Operators, Drivers Association (GOHTODA) represented by its President Mr. Eddie Hernandez forms as an integral part of this Ordinance.

SECTION 7. All Circulars, Executive Orders, Ordinances and Resolutions or pars thereof inconsistent with any of the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby amended accordingly.

SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
