WHEREAS, the establishment and operation of Olongapo City Museum is envisioned to deliver a very dynamic posture of tourism;

WHEREAS, the said Museum will generate income to sustain maintenance and other expenses;

WHEREAS, the prescribed rates for the use of the said convergence sites had been presented, heard in public and approved as competitive to other Museums;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Teodoro D. del Rosario, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 23
(Series of 2004)

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PROPOSED ENTRANCE FEES
AT THE OLONGAPO CITY MUSEUM.

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. RATES

Below are prescribed rates for the following category:

· STUDENTS (Elementary and High School) PhP10.00
(College) 15.00
· ADULT (Senior Citizen 20% discount) 25.00
· TOURIST (Local) 30.00
(Foreign) 50.00
· CHILDREN below 7 years Old-FREE OF CHARGE


SECTION 2. Management and Operations

That the Olongapo City Museum is a revenue-generating office managed and operated by the City Government through the City Tourism Office.

SECTION 3. Accounting of Receipts/Revenues

That all receipts/revenues realized from operations of the Olongapo City Museum shall remitted to the City Treasurer under the Trust Fund Account. The disbursement of which shall be governed by the usual accounting and auditing regulations.

SECTION 4. Manner of Payment and Issuance of Official Receipt

The fees or charges imposed herein shall be paid to the City Treasurer or his duly authorized deputy who shall issue the corresponding official receipt.

SECTION 5. Effectivity

This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after posting in 3 conspicuous places within the City jurisdiction.
