WHEREAS, Mr. Emanuel E. Ramos, OIC, Business Permit Division wrote to the Hon. Rolen Paulino pertaining an obvious typographical error on paragraph (c) Section 85 of Ordinance No. 81, Series of 2002 otherwise known as the Olongapo City Revenue Code of 2002.
WHEREAS, there is a need to rectify the said fault as it is necessary to the computerization of our tax system.
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Teodoro D. Del Rosario with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in sessions assembled to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH C SECTION 85 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 81, SERIES OF 2002 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE OLONGAPO CITY REVENUE CODE OF 2002
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. Paragraph (c) Section 85 of Ordinance No. 81, Series of 2002 is hereto amended to read as follows:
“
SECTION 2. The “Children’s Month” shall involve in-school and community children residing in Olongapo City.
SECTION 3. The program and activities which shall be undertaken during the celebration shall include but not limited to the following:
A. Children’s Congress
-There shall be a Children’s Congress, which will include activities that will promote the physical, social, moral, intellectual and emotional development of a child. Activities such as but not limited to poem recital, art competition, games, lecture hour, etc..
B. Supplementary Activities
-Seminar-workshop on drug abuse, dengue, rabies, nutrition and other significant current issues concerning Child Welfare.
-Commemoration of the lives and achievements of young Filipino heroes who made significant contribution to the formation of the Filipino Nation.
-Organize child friendly activities, cultural presentations, arts and skill exhibitions/competition and other worthwhile activities.
-Recognition and awarding of outstanding CHILDREN and child serving organizations for their achievements and contributions to the advocacy of child’s welfare.
SECTION 4. The Council For the Welfare of Children shall spearhead all activities related to the annual celebration of “Children’s Month” in Olongapo City. The City Social Welfare and Development Office shall provide technical assistance, provide evaluation of the effectiveness of the program and shall submit end of activity report to the City Mayor and to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
SECTION 5. Funding Support. The amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (PhP50,000.00) is hereby appropriated annually from any available fund in the City Treasury as funding support to the activities of Childrens’ Month celebration.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
