RESOLUTION NO. 21
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
OF MRS. ZENAIDA A. SARMIENTO, MRS. CANDELARIA G. LEGASPI,
MR. DOMINADOR T. GALLO, MR. DOROTEO B. ROQUE
AND MS. LUZ M. MARTY IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION


WHEREAS, the City hereby acknowledges the prime efforts and commitment of City public school teachers who moved on to retirement this year, leaving the City schools with their distinguished contributions;

WHEREAS, for more than thirty-three years (33 years and 5 months), Mrs. Zenaida A. Sarmiento, Teacher II at Sta. Rita Elementary School, dedicated her life as a classroom teacher. With a good record in different facets of learning, Ms. Sarmiento modeled to her pupils value-laden principles to live by;

WHEREAS, the City also recognizes the arduous effort of Mrs. Candelaria G. Legaspi, Teacher III at Kalalake Elementary School. The thirty-four years and six months (34 years and 6 months) she inked as an educator were significant in shaping many young lives to attain the best they can be;

WHEREAS, on the other hand, Mr. Dominador T. Gallo, Teacher I at Old Cabalan Elementary School, can be upheld for his meritorious performance as a classroom teacher for 19 years and 10 months, where his positive impact encouraged his pupils to become the achievers they are today;

WHEREAS, the City also appreciates the foundations laid by Mr. Doroteo B. Roque in his 36 years and 5 month impeccable service as a teacher. Mr. Roque, who rose from the ranks as Teacher I on to as District II Supervisor will always be remembered for his leadership, commitment and dedication. The different awards and citations received by the schools under his supervision were direct results of his enduring support;

WHEREAS, considered as one of the paragons in physical education and dancing, Ms. Luz M. Marty, Physical Education, Health and Music (PEHM) teacher, Dance Instructress and Adviser for the Special Program for Culture and Arts of the Olongapo City National High School (OCNHS) retired last January 21,2005, inking 42 years of robust teaching experience. Through her unfeigned talent, hardwork, dedication and creativity, many students have come to unleash their potentials in the field of cultural arts, brought home accolades for and in behalf of the City and marveled tourists in various gatherings, to the City’s pride and honor. The City commends her legacy in this field where Olongapo City is placed as one of the best;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan, with the unanimous accord of the members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to commend, as it hereby commends the invaluable contributions of Mrs. Zenaida A. Sarmiento, Mrs. Candelaria G. Legaspi, Mr. Dominador T. Gallo, Mr. Doroteo B. Roque And Ms. Luz M. Marty in the field of education.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be furnished the abovementioned retirees for their information and record.
