Call to Order

City Vice Mayor and Presiding Officer Cynthia G. Cajudo, called the session to order at 4:05 in the afternoon.

With ten (10) Members and the Presiding Officer present, a quorum was declared.


Reading and Adoption of Minutes

On motion of Councilor Gregorio M. Elane, the body adopted the minutes of its Regular Session held last April 28, 2004.

Letter from the Department of Finance informing the Sangguniang Panlungsod that the latter’s request to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to intercede with both houses of Congress, Department of Finance and the Department of Budget and Management for the release of the rightful share of Olongapo City for CYs 1994 – 1998 pursuant to the Republic Act No. 7227, otherwise entitled, “Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992 be represented with the DBM in preparation for the 2005 budget. Committee Report

Councilor Manglicmot apprised the body on the opinion of the City Treasurer regarding the letter of Mr. Jose Co Lee of No. 31-21st Street, West Bajac-Bajac on his request for the non-payment of the penalty of the real estate tax imposed over his property. He informed everyone that according to the City Treasurer the request cannot be granted for in granting tax relief such should benefit all taxpayers who are paying the same kind of tax.” Moreover, granting such request would tantamount to class legislation.
